Our credentials and registrations
Anyone can call themselves an accountant. Not everyone can prove it.
This page lists every registration and qualification we hold, along with the registration numbers and the public registers where you can check them for yourself. No logos without substance. If we claim it, you can verify it.
Registered tax agent
Aevum Accounting Pty Ltd is a registered tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board. Registration number 26302591, registered 5 May 2025.
Ben De Rosa is also registered as a tax agent in his own right, registration number 26296691.
Only registered tax agents are allowed to charge a fee to prepare and lodge your tax return. Registration means we are bound by the Code of Professional Conduct, we carry professional indemnity insurance, and we complete ongoing training every year. If a practitioner is not on the register, they cannot legally charge you for tax work.

CPA practice
Aevum Accounting is a CPA practice. We operate under CPA Australia’s professional standards, which cover ethics, quality review and continuing education.
Ben De Rosa is a Certified Practising Accountant, CPA Australia member number 10191488, a member since November 2017. He also holds a CPA Public Practice Certificate, issued August 2025, which is the separate authorisation CPA Australia requires before a member can run a practice and take on their own clients.
As a CPA practice we are subject to CPA Australia’s Best Practice Program, which means our files and processes are periodically reviewed by the professional body rather than just by us.

Software certifications
We work in the software you already use, and we are certified in it rather than just familiar with it.
We are certified in Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks, and we are listed in the Xero Advisor Directory.
Whichever of the three you already run, you will not need to change systems to work with us, and you will not be paying us to learn it on your time. You can read how we use them day to day on our bookkeeping page.
